A million man-hours without injuries and incidents — such an objective was reached in June during the implementation of the CCPP Pancevo construction project. The achievement of this result was facilitated by the organized systematic work aimed to ensure safety and labor protection, which was carried out by Gazprom energoholding Serbia and Gazprom energoholding Serbia TE-TO Pancevo. According to the director of Gazprom еnergoholding Serbia, Pavel Sergeev, during the implementation of its first foreign project — the construction of a combined cycle steam and gas thermal power plant in Serbia — Gazprom energoholding is guided in its activities by the best labor protection practices: the standards applicable in the Republic of Serbia and in European Union, as well as the standards of PJSC Gazprom stipulated by the vertically-integrated Unified Industrial Safety Management System.

In the course of the project implementation, the team of Gazprom energoholding Serbia TE-TO Pancevo has conducted regular trainings in the field of occupational health and safety for the personnel working at the construction site, performed thousands of inspections of working conditions, and eliminated all the shortcomings. “We have consistently worked in this direction, and this work has borne fruit,” said Alexander Varnavskiy, the director of Gazprom energoholding Serbia TE-TO Pancevo.
